Mark AdamsonMark Adamson

Mark Adamson is Managing Director of HS Admin, the pensions administration outsourcing specialists.

Mark has 25 years experience in the pensions market, predominantly in outsourcing and administration systems. A well-known figure in the TPA market, Mark has chaired and spoken at many industry conferences as well as contributing regularly to the trade press.

He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and is a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from the University of Leicester. More importantly, he is a life-long (and therefore long-suffering) supporter of Newcastle United and knows far more than is healthy about the club's history and its players!

Sue ApplegarthSue Applegarth

Sue is Managing Director of award winning pensions administrator MNPA. She joined MNPA 4 years ago and has been instrumental in the enhancement and development of MNPA's services to clients.

Sue has 20 years’ experience in multi pension disciplines with a particular emphasis on major administration outsourcings. She was involved in one of the first major outsourcings in the 1990s (BP).

Sue regularly speaks at conferences on administration topics and is an enthusiastic supporter of initiatives to raise the profile of pensions administration. Sue is a member of the steering group of the RSPA initiative.

When she’s not running MNPA’s business, Sue enjoys exploring far-flung corners of the world. At home, she can sometimes be seen early morning jogging around the scenic routes of Farnham, but not too often!

Tim BanksTim Banks

Tim Banks is Head of Business Development at Standard Life, which he joined in April 2004, and has 16 years experience in Occupational Pensions Management. Tim previously worked at Fidelity, Watson Wyatt and Barnett Waddingham, performing a variety of roles. Tim is an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute and is IMC qualified.

Phillip joined Higham Group in April 2005 and his current responsibilities include managing the delivery and growth of our discontinued pension scheme services. His role covers our pension scheme wind-up and our PPF preparation services provided from Higham Group’s London and Leeds offices. Phillip is strategic, results-oriented management professional with proven ability to develop and execute operational management strategies.

He brings to Higham Group over 22 years of experience in the occupational pensions delivery arena. The most recent of which was over 2 years as Operations Director for a large Australian subsidiary of US-based consultancy where he managed 300 actuaries, consultants and administrators servicing major clients such at Holden (General Motors), Toyota and the NSW Local government pension plans. Prior to his time in Australia Phillip actively supporting NAPF at both local and national levels through participation in committees and events.

Gail ChorleyGail Chorley

Gail joined BP in January 2004, in the latter part of the in-sourcing project. She is now responsible for managing the quality of the administration services provided to all BP and Burmah Castrol Fund members.

Gail has worked in the pensions industry for a number of years, initially in insurance, then in-house for a drinks company and latterly for an actuarial consultancy. Gail is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute.

Nigel Downey is Finance Director at MNPA and a member of our Board. He is responsible for our treasury and accounting services as well as compliance and internal audit. Nigel has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry in a variety of roles covering pension administration, life assurance and unit trusts. He is a Fellow of the ICAEW and has a degree in Economics.

Tim Giles is the capability leader for Hewitt Associates pension administration business. He is responsible for defining how they deliver pension administration services in the UK. Tim's background is client management and his current role centers around providing the service clients require cost effectively.

Tim is an experienced practitioner and has been working in pensions for 15 years. He is also a qualified actuary by profession.
